AITP Philadelphia Chapter Home Page

Welcome to the home of the Philadelphia chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals, one of the oldest Information Technology associations in the world.  Take some time to see what we have to offer.  Members and guests are always welcome.

Our Mission

To become the premier IT professional association in the Philadelphia area, providing services to members, students, and the community.

To promote continuing education among our members and local schools.

Company Profile

AITP has existed under many names since it's inception in 1951.  It's main goal has always been to provide a forum for members to exchange information with others in their field and to promote continuing education for IT professionals.

The Philadelphia chapter is one of the oldest chapters on the East Coast.

To all our members and partners, we are back up and online after an extended summer break. We have been working on a number of programs for the remainder of this program year.

First, I am proud and honored to welcome back our La Salle Student Chapter. Vicki Mouzon is the Faculty Advisor and has some great energetic talent putting together a new and energized student
chapter. We look forward to seeing you at our events!!

We have secured passes to the regional ITEC conference on November 12 & 13, 2003 at the Valley Forge Convention Center. AITP will have a booth there, so stop by and see us. Detailed information is available below.

We are also working on two special programs for December and January. The long awaited Wireless Symposium is coming together. We have lots of toys to play with, excellent demos, and some great presenters. We are targeting this for Tuesday December 2, 2003. More to Come.

We also have a wonderful program presented by Tom Emmerth, president of our AITP region. This is a rebuttal to "IT Doesn't Matter -- Process Does!". We are planning this for January.

We also are working on some of the hotter topics including CRM, Thin Client, and a status on the IT Industry. If you have any suggestions for programs please let us know.

Keep an eye out for our announcements and we look forward to seeing you at ITEC and our other programs.

Andy Kaufmann, CDP

President, AITP Philadelphia Chapter
